Build the capacity of the L&SW Team ... survey responses

This inquiry may have built individual capacity but it is difficult to see how this has extended to the whole team
I think what this approach acknowledged was that we all learn best when we have a common goal but can approach that goal in ways that best suit our individual needs and contexts, acknowledging our prior learning and experiences and our particular areas of interest.

What will be interesting is the next step – what does this experience mean?

Will we have the opportunity to pursue other investigations next year - eg. if I join the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) team next year, a second group of consultants will have developed expertise in the field of AI, meaning we have a little more of a consistent approach as a large team of consultants. Then again, knowing who was on the AI team this year means I know who I can go and talk to about AI if I want to know more, doesn’t it!

It’s great to have the information at your fingertips, on a wiki and when we are working with schools or each other , just to refer to….not that there has to be total agreement on everything or to make it the most important thing, but it does help the professional discourse about our beliefs about learning, and it might be helpful to others.

Using the wiki it would be interesting to see if any other groups in their discussions crossed over into our area about Learning Theories.

I personally found the opportunity and time to meet and reflect with colleagues personally and professionally rewarding

There is no evidence that I am aware of that suggests that other members have accessed this

Not sure if we dedicated enough time to our investigation and the wiki.
I did not respond to the reflections and comments from team members.

The wiki is an resource that other members of the L&SW team could access and/or contribute to if they wanted to find out about Learning Theories … basic information and some of the “latest” developments

The success of this resource depends on engagement – if there is no “discussion” then it is just a repository for resources that could easily be Googled.
